Sasha is a biology and earth science tutor who has been studying, teaching, and being fascinated by biology for over 15 years! She majored in biology at Barnard College, where she had the opportunity to TA a number of biology courses, and discovered that she really enjoyed the challenge of helping fellow students understand complex scientific concepts. This led her to pursue an MA in secondary science education at Teachers College of Columbia University, and to subsequently find a teaching job at her high school alma mater (Princeton High School, in Princeton, NJ), where she taught introductory and advanced biology courses. After a few years of teaching, she pursued an MBA at UCLA, with the intention of making a larger-scale impact in education. Presently, when not tutoring, she manages the New York City Department of Education's portfolio of citywide science programs, working with teachers, principals, and scientific institutions around city to create opportunities for students to experience and learn science in engaging and experiential settings.

She tutors all subjects to students K-8, including organizational and study skills; specializes in the Humanities and organizational skills for high school and college students; and tutors law and business law to college, business, and law students.
