Math ceased being torture because Evan made it intelligible, manageable and even, sometimes, fun.  I cannot praise Evan highly enough!”

In short, these guys are PROS and they do the job.  My son’s test scores went up much higher and he saw this time spent not as a task, but as a great opportunity to fulfill what he needed.  He actually looked forward to his sessions because of what was encouraged and brought out in him.

Without exception each session with Bill has proved enormously productive — areas of uncertainty and confusion were perfectly clarified, and a great deal of work accomplished as well. As a result, our child has developed a confident and positive outlook about math even though it is not a particular area of strength. Bill creates such a wonderfully calm and concentrated feeling during his sessions, and accomplishes so much in them, our child actually looks forward to meeting with him. We are so grateful for Bill’s tutoring — it is truly exceptional, and we look forward to our child continuing to work with him.

It is my great pleasure to recommend Evan Zeisel and Ivy League Student Aid & Testing Services…services to us have ranged from help with specific areas of weakness, foreign language and math to preparation for exams, tests and quizzes. …while still in high school, our son worked with Ivy League SATS tutors to improve his study and organizational skills and for SAT test preparation. All efforts were very successful.

My daughter’s tutor from Ivy League Student Aid & Testing Services helped build her confidence during a very intense freshman year and her math grade went from an 80 average to a 90 average. More importantly, they helped her enjoy the challenges of math. She subsequently scored a 4 on the AP Calculus test during her senior year. The support from Ivy League SATS was critical in helping her believe she could excel in a very competitive environment.

Ivy League Student Aid & Testing Services did an outstanding job of preparing my daughter for the ACTs. Her tutor, Bill, not only assisted her in mastering test taking skills, but was thoroughly familiar with the content of the test. She scored a personal best after working with Ivy League SATS. Best of all, she enjoyed working with Bill and became more optimistic about taking tests in general. We found him to be very reliable, always returning our emails or phone calls promptly. Thanks Ivy League SATS!

Having had a rough start in Spanish, my daughter was lucky enough to have Alejandra as her tutor. Instead of believing she was incapable of reading, writing and speaking Spanish, Alejandra helped her change her attitude about learning any language. Their sessions included hard work relating to her homework…but also included lots of fun conversation that helped my daughter excel in the classroom. Our family found Alejandra a wonderful role model for our daughter and a very dependable person as well. I highly recommend Ivy League SATS.

Evan is professional, honest, punctual, intelligent, respectful, patient and a pleasure to have around. He has the ability to work with boys who have a difficult time sitting still and maintaining focus. His calm, friendly but no nonsense demeanor is just right for them. We recommend him most highly.

Since 2003, Ivy League SATS has tutored our children. Recently, they have provided excellent tutors for us to help in specialized areas such as the SATs and ACTs. Evan has a real love of learning and his enthusiasm is a key component of my children’s success since he helps them focus on learning, not just making the grade. Their interest in whatever subject they are studying flourishes under his guidance and that, in turn, helps their performance. Unlike most tutoring companies who plug in people for short time periods, Ivy League SATS is committed to the student for the duration –perhaps starting with some trouble spots in one area and then a year later working on SAT prep. Evan is an extremely intelligent person who has that rare talent of being able to communicate difficult material to students with a variety of learning styles.

I recommend Evan without qualification! Four years ago I was looking for a math tutor for my seventh grader who needed a comprehensive review of Algebra I. Good fortune brought Evan Zeisel to our doorstep! Evan arrived with patience, good humor and an excellent touch for a boy in despair about math. Evan’s focus with my son has been math and science although he has helped him with other subjects whenever there was need. Evan’s exemplary command of math and the other subjects never overwhelmed his approach to tutoring. Evan took a natural teacher’s pride in helping my son figure out that my son, not Evan, was the one working out the answers to problems which had seemed beyond him. In response to my son’s preoccuption with Harry Potter, Evan wrote word problems involving Potter characters, Quidditch matches, cost of Levitating Shurbert Balls & Caldron Cakes and more. Math ceased being torture because Evan made it intelligible, manageable and even, sometimes, fun. I cannot praise Evan highly enough!

To have people working with your children who have the knowledge of what they need, to prepare them monumentally for the SATs, and at the same time to have the personal care to treat your children as if they were a member of their own family. That is what my son felt when working with Ivy League SATS. Sometimes listening to what was going on during his sessions there was a professionalism and scholarly atmosphere which I was grateful for. At the same time, you felt–and it meant so much to me–that this tutor really cared about your child, he wanted him to do well. To him, it wasn’t just a job–it was a passion and it was a commitment. Any questions I had were answered with a care and knowledge, which was so important at this special time of preparation which all us parents are so nervous about. I never felt any question was too strange or too wild, I was given the confidence and assuredness and TIME to not only encourage my child, but also encourage my wife and me. In short, these guys are PROS and they do the job. My son’s test scores went up much higher, and he saw this time not as a task, but as a great opportunity to fulfill what he needed. He actually looked forward to his sessions because of what was encouraged and brought out in him.
